Bakewell Show
The Fosse Data website has the full results from Bakewell Show where Hannah Higginbotham judged her entry of flat-coats. BOB was Beanit Luka to Keepersway JW (Mr R & Ms L Ashcroft & Long) RBOB was Stranfaer Lucy Locket (Mr D & Mrs K Joyce) and our best puppy Branchalwood Tamdhu of Daicheil (Mr A & Mrs A Laird) won Puppy Group 3.

Health Seminar Announced in Scotland

Thanks from The Cinnamon Trust
As a result of our support to this charity a cocker spaniel called 'Bobby' received veterinary treatment to correct an eyelash deformity. For our donation the Trust recently sent NEFRA an acknowledgement and their thanks.

News from the Open Shows
At Goosnargh and Longridge Agricultural Show last Saturday, Evelyn Lee won another group win with 'Flic', Innisbeck Celtic Charm.  She won puppy Group 3 and Hillary Buckley's 'Finlay', Buckleyhill Starchaser won BOB, Group 1 and Reserve Best in Show.

Philip trainingTraining and Barbeque a big success.
Despite many dogs ending up in the garden pond the NEFRA barbecue and training day was a great success. We are very grateful to the help given by Philip and Joyce Smithies, our guest trainers for the day.

Minor Breeds Win
Competing against teams of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and Irish Water Spaniels the team of Flat-coated retrievers, handled by NEFRA members, won this event and Keith Aldred handled his dog Eskwinds Chloe's Boy ('Frankie') winning Best Dog on the day.

N.E.F.R.A. working team on a high
This weekend a team of four dogs with handlers and supporters travelled to Warwickshire and won a second prize in the Flatcoated Retriever Society's 'Inter-Area Finals'. The team were Maddistream Indigo Jack, who won Best Puppy with Caroline Hewison, Gill Awty with Rainbow Queen of Maddistream, Keith Aldred with Eskwinds Chloe's Boy and Garry Ellison's Astravia Saffron's Spirit at Ollerset.
We would like to congratulate the winning team from the South West region and thank the Cotswold area for hosting this event and their kind hospitality.
If you would like to join in the fun and have a go at gundog work come along to the field at the Open Show and try your hand at the sport.
